Rooted in Oxnard
After high school, Lizanne began a 42-year career with Procter & Gamble, working her way from the production floor into leadership roles in finance, human resources, and global work process improvement.
She began as a production employee and advanced to Line Leader, responsible for meeting production, safety, and quality goals while training and developing employees. After 10 years in production, Lizanne transitioned to Finance as a Capital Accountant and earned her Accounting degree through UCSB while working full-time.
She later became the Accounting Systems Leader, overseeing areas including accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, general ledger, budgeting, sales and use tax, and auditing. As a Pillar Leader and member of the Site Leadership Team, Lizanne was responsible for identifying inefficiencies, eliminating waste and unnecessary work, improving processes, and helping teams operate more effectively. Her success ultimately led to a global leadership role as Work Process Improvement Leader for the Family Care Global Business Unit.
Lizanne also spent six years in Human Resources, with responsibilities that included productivity, hiring and termination processes, state disability, special events, and external relations. In that role, she worked with local organizations including the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Casa Pacifica, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Oxnard Police Department, and Food Share.
Lizanne retired after 42 years of service with extensive experience in financial accountability, budgeting, operational efficiency, problem-solving, workforce management, and community partnerships—experience she believes can help bring greater accountability, efficiency, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars to Oxnard City Hall.
